TRANSNUSA AVIATION MANDIRI COLLABORATES WITH CHINA AIRCRAFT LEASING

PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri is targeting in the next 3 years to be able to add 20 aircraft fleets. This is inseparable from the collaboration that has just been established with China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Ltd (CALC).

According to TransNusa Managing Director, Bayu Sutanto in press release said the results of the investment cooperation that were established were not in the form of money. The point is they give a commitment to help us in the additional fleet of aircraft also covers maintenance.

“At present TransNusa has 9 ATR aircraft. Even so, it did not rule out the possibility of fleet support in other types of aircraft which might be regional jet or narrow body,” he said.

Budi asserted that at this time TransNusa was still evaluating its business plans going forward after conducting the collaboration. This needs to be done because until now it is still running a business plan three years ago.

“Through this cooperation, we are optimistic that we can establish TransNusa as a feed carrier that has added value to improve regional and international air connectivity. The development of the aviation business can encourage the growth of the tourism sector and the economy,” he explained.

He added, at present, the airline that has a base in Kupang had operated 30 domestic routes in 24 destinations as well as one Kupang-Dili international flight connecting Indonesia and Timor Leste.

“I also claim to add a new route. One of them is Kupang-Darwin, Australia. Hopefully it can start in the first quarter of next year. Meanwhile, for domestic routes, it also plans to add 5 routes which will all come from the old Bandung. For the purpose it will target Semarang, Yogyakarta and Surabaya,” Bayu concluded.
