INDONESIA SUCCESSFULLY RECORDS IDR37 BILLION IN SATTE 2020 INDIA

INDONESIA successfully booked transactions of more than US$2,593,050 or equivalent to IDR37 billion during the South Asia Travel and Tourism Expo (SATTE) 2020 exhibition held recently in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India. The amount is the result of the purchase of 32,700 pax from tourists from India during the exhibition.

According to Deputy of Marketing Development II of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya when attending a speech at SATTE 2020 in India said, SATTE is a priority exhibition where Indonesia is always present to attract tourists from India and surrounding areas to come to the country.

Indian tourists, Nia continued are interested in Indonesia, especially Bali. As many as 40 percent of Indian tourists come to Bali for wedding and honeymoon reasons. They spend at least a week.

“This exhibition is one of the largest B2B exhibitions in India which was attended by more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. India is the biggest and biggest market in South Asia. In 2018, the average spending is US$1,523.63 and the average length of stay is 6.72 days,” he said.

During the exhibition, the Booth Indonesia with the theme of Phinisi was also attended by the Head of Area I (India) Pupung Thariq Fadhillah, accompanied by VITO Mumbai, VITO New Delhi, VITO Singapore, and supported by the Indonesian Embassy to India, New Delhi.

Indonesia, which this year participated as Premium Partner Country, occupies the pavilion in hall 9 no A30. Where the Indonesian pavilion is filled by 53 industries consisting of DMCs, travel agents, hotels, airlines, travel planners, and restaurants.
