YOGYAKARTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT REACHES 94%

YOGYAKARTA International Airport is targeted to be fully operational on March 29, 2020 because its construction progress has now reached 94%.

According to PT Angkasa Pura I Taochid Purnama Hadi’s Yogyakarta Interntional Airport (YIA) Project Manager, said the project side that had not yet been completed was refining domestic and international terminals.

“At present, we are pursuing the migration of an international terminal that was previously used for a minimum terminal operation. Construction of other buildings such as airside, flyover infrastructure, parking buildings have been completed and can be used,” he said.

He added, related to the readiness of full operation of the Yogyakarta International Airport, located in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Taochid said the entire project was targeted to be completed on March 14.

Furthermore, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transportation will conduct a verification process and the results will be followed up by Angkasa Pura I until 28 Meret.

The Yogyakarta International Airport has a terminal area of ​​219,000 m2 that can accommodate 20 million passengers and a runway of 3,250 x 45 m2. Besides that, YIA is also supported by access to vehicles, both buses and trains, which makes it easy for passengers. [antaranews/special photo]
