NOT BAD, VIKING SUN CRUISE SHIP ADDED 107 FOREIGN TOURISTS IN BALI

A TOTAL of 107 foreign tourists were recorded aboard the Norwegian-flagged cruise ship, the Viking Sun, which has been leaning on the Benoa Harbor, Denpasar, Bali, since Monday morning.

According to Benoa Class II Port Authority and Port Authority (KSOP) Office, Agustinus Maun in Denpasar said 107 of these passengers will join other passengers to take their next tour on the Sun Viking ship to Colombo, Sri Lanka. When I arrived in the waters of Bali, the Viking Sun cruise ship was carrying 738 passengers and 452 crew.

“Of these, as many as 375 passengers aboard the Viking Sun returned to their home countries using airplanes through Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport,” he said.

Agustinus explained, 107 foreign tourists who joined the Sun Viking cruise ship in Bali, were confirmed to have gone through a health check at the airport and were given a Health Alert Card.

“When they arrive at Benoa Port they will also be checked by officers of the Class I Port Health Office (KKP) of Denpasar. On the ship they will also be re-examined by the ship related to their health condition, of course if it does not match the results of their medical examination, the ship will do the next process,” he said.

The cruise ship, which had been rejected, dropped off passengers at the Port of Tanjung Mas Semarang and was refused to lean back at the Port of Tanjung Perak in Surabaya in anticipation of the spread of COVID-19 or the Corona virus.

Earlier, on Sunday (8/3), the Viking Sun cruise ship, which was still anchoring in the quarantine zone about two miles from Benoa Harbor, was permitted to unload all passengers and crew using a Tender Boat to the Port of Benoa.

Viking Sun passengers were allowed to disembark after checking the fulfillment of World Health Organization (WHO) health protocol compliance by the Denpasar Class I Port Health Office (KKP) team assisted by the Bali Provincial Health Office and medical teams that had been carried out on Saturday (7/3) times, at 08.30 to 10:00 WITA then continued at night at 20:00 to 23:00 WITA.

Based on the results of a detailed health check on the ship, no passengers or crew were found to be infected with COVID-19 or corona virus.

“It means that all passengers and crews of the Viking Sun ship are declared healthy, that from the aspect of WHO health protocol provisions have been fulfilled, then from the aspect of the ship they have met the rules. If all the conditions have been fulfilled, then there is no reason for us not to allow the ship or its passengers to disembark,” said Augustine.

For two days in the Island of the Gods, Viking Sun passengers carried out various tourism activities to various destinations such as the Bali Museum and Badung Market in Denpasar. [antaranews]
