TOURISM MINISTRY INVITES TOURISTS TO VISIT JAKARTA’S COFFEE PLACES IN VIRTUAL

MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy in collaboration with the Jakarta Good Guide community presents “Ngabuburit Wisata Kopi”, a virtual travel experience that invites tourists to explore the rows of coffee places in Jakarta complete with interesting stories behind them.

“Coffee shops have stories that can be explored. Both of the first coffee shops in Jakarta, which until now still survive in the middle of other coffee shops. So we can add knowledge while enjoying the coffee, which is definitely delicious,” said Cindy Tan as a tour guide from the Jakarta Good Guide.

She added, coffee travel also allows anyone to learn the twists and turns about coffee from the history of coffee, its development from time to time, until now entering the era where coffee is not only one of the favorite drinks but also a lifestyle of the people.

“In the virtual tour that lasted for two hours, the participants who numbered more than 200 people were invited to several iconic coffee places in Jakarta. Starting from Gondangdia Luwak Coffee Shop, Jatinegara Sedap Jaya Coffee Shop, Warung Tinggi Coffee Shop, and Takkie Coffee Shop. Meanwhile Candha Adwitiyo as CoFounder Jakarta Good Guide said, in Jakarta there are many coffee shops with various stories and history to explore. Things like this are the activities of the Jakarta Good Guide community, which always searches interesting destinations in Jakarta.

“The Jakarta Good Guide community is not far from the streets, exploring interesting destinations. One of the routine is to do a walking tour with a number of foreign tourists who travel in the Jakarta area,” Candha said.

Agustini Rahayu also explained, this virtual tour with the community was the first time organized by Kemenparekraf. It is hoped that in the future there will be other virtual tours with different themes.
