TOURISM Australia brings the best travel deals from Australia to the living room of hundreds of thousands of Australians and other travel lovers around the world. The experience of traveling on the broadcast is presented in the form of a virtual trip that can inspire them in planning their next vacation to Australia.

Throughout the weekend, on the 16th and 17th of May 2020, Tourism Australia will broadcast Live From Aus which offers an exclusive travel experience, broadcast live on the spot every hour, broadcast to more than 13 million viewers across Australia and around the world .

This program will highlight the best experiences Australia has to offer, from unique culture to stunning natural beauty, world-class food and drinks and incredible wildlife.

From dance parties to The Wiggles and iconic workouts in Byron Bay to seeing crocodiles closely with Matt Wright from Outback Wrangler, practicing golf professionally and dinner parties with Matt Moran and his friends, the entire program can be witnessed starting at 7 4:00 West Indonesia Time, Saturday, May 16, 2020 and will continue throughout the day.

Continuous streaming programs on digital channels including Tourism Australia’s social media which starting on 18 May 2020 will bring Australians back to the wildlife, scenic beauty, unique food and drinks in the Kangaroo country, customs, arts and cultural experiences that were interrupted by the pandemic.

According to Tourism Australia’s Managing Director, Phillipa Harrison said that digital broadcasts and activations would help to revive the Tourism Australia campaign, With Love From Aus, which was launched on all Australian social media last month.

“Although the demand for travel is currently being delayed and the recovery time of the pandemic is still uncertain, it is important for us not to remain silent in promoting destinations in Australia. Even though people cannot travel at this time, they certainly can continue to hope and plan for an upcoming vacation,” Horisson said.

Horrison added, companies that continue to communicate with their audience in times of crisis tend to recover quickly. Our current promotion is an effort to keep Australia always remembered by tourists, the strategy adopted during this period of self-isolation is an effort to stay involved and communicate with people who cannot travel and can only gather in the family room they are, to give runaways and give ideas to travel again once the travel ban has been lifted.

Live broadcast from Live Aus will be organized by various Australian leaders, industry advocates and activists, where the program will entertain, educate and inspire audiences with a variety of interactive experiences, including cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, sports classes, cultural introduction sessions, getting to know Australian wildlife and live music broadcasts offered by Sounds Australia.

Tourism Australia’s Chief Marketing Officer, Susan Coghill said the campaign was a way to give people a little taste of Australia when they spend time at home.

“Australia’s unremitting optimism is what the world needs at a time like this. We will collaborate with some of the country’s most inspiring creators, industry activists and advocates to bring Australia’s enthusiasm to the living space of people around the world, so that they can continue to hope and dream while giving them ideas to plan a vacation to Australia,” said Ms Coghill.

Ms Coghill explained the number of viewers who saw content directly on digital and social media globally has almost tripled in the last month, while the number of television viewers in Australia has risen 11 percent from last year, due to quarantine which makes people unable to travel. By taking advantage of the opportunities that exist today, With Love From Aus aims to fulfill consumers’ desires for positive content by filling their social media columns with spectacular content from across Australia.
