PANDEMIC, THE 4TH-GENERATION LEXUS IS DELAYED THE LAUNCH

THE luxury car brand under the auspices of Toyota, Lexus, delayed the launch of the fourth-generation Lexus IS luxury sedan, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday (10/6) in the United States and Japan.

Lexus through his written statement, Saturday (6/6), said that the delay was carried out to respect the current global situation.

“Considering the current global situation, Lexus respectfully delayed the release of IS, which was originally scheduled for 8 am, at Japanese standard time on June 10,” Lexus said today.

The launch time will be rescheduled and will be announced “immediately”, they said.

In early June, Lexus leaked the silhouette design of the lights on the Lexux IS car. From the picture, it is estimated that the Lexus IS rear lights will use a triangle design that blends from left to right with a line-shaped LED light.

In general, the IS design adopts the Lexus LS flagship appearance. The car will likely use the latest TNGA-L architecture framework.

IS is also predicted to use a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 416 hp (422 PS) and 442 lb-ft (599 Nm) of torque. Lexus IS is a competitor of Audi Q4, Infiniti Q50, to Jaguar XF. [antaranews/photo special]
