JAKARTA’S SHOPPING CENTERS ARE READY TO OPEN AND WELCOMING A NEW NORMAL

A NUMBER of shopping centers in Jakarta, including Senayan City and FX Sudirman, are prepared to welcome visitors to the new normal, on June 15, 2020, in accordance with the Jakarta Governor’s Regulation policy regarding the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

Senayan City

Senayan City improves and implements new procedures and protocols for visitors during the transition period and beyond for the convenience of visitors. New health protocols and normal procedures are also applied when using mall facilities, such as prayer rooms and toilets, which also apply a physical restriction policy.

All public areas that require queues, such as ATM centers and escalators, are also equipped with signs to maintain social distance. This also includes a dining area in Delicae which is also equipped with a UV-C sterilizer for cutlery.

Senayan City also conducts sterilization by spraying disinfectants before the mall opens and after the mall closes, as well as cleaning the escalator handle every time. To ensure the safety of visitors, Senayan City also plans to conduct rapid tests for employees.

Senayan City also urges tenants to prepare health tests for their respective staff, so they are expected to provide a sense of security and comfort to visitors. In line with Senayan City, FX Sudirman also implemented a health protocol when the shopping center opened on 15 June.

Before heading to the entrance that is equipped with a body temperature checking sensor, visitors are required to scan the QR Code to fill in the entry list digitally. Visitors must fill in their name, email and cellphone number to register.

“We will be reluctantly restricted here. So later we will have COVID-19 Cluster officers, they will take a tour around, so if the capacity exceeds, so every tenant has signage installed, cleanliness and capacity, so when we go around we will remind to the tenants,” Ardi added.
