NEW NORMAL, AIRASIA PASSENGERS CAN ONLY CARRY ONE BAG TO THE CABIN

AIRASIA Indonesia airlines apply new safety and health protocols in the new normal period, one of which passengers can only carry one laptop or laptop bag into the aircraft cabin.

According to AirAsia Indonesia Flight Safety Director Capt Achmad Sadikin in his press statement in Jakarta said as one of the modes of transportation with the highest safety standards, we continue to work to protect and ensure the health of AirAsia guests and staff in accordance with the public health policies of the government as well as civil aviation authorities and agencies local and global health, including the World Health Organization (WHO).

“During the hibernation period, AirAsia Indonesia has adjusted its safety and health protocols in accordance with the latest regulations set by the government. All of our staff, including AirAsia pilots and cabin crew, have undergone intensive training related to aviation safety procedures which are constantly updated in accordance with the latest policy developments in preparation for the resumption of our flight,” he said.

He added, a number of AirAsia Indonesia safety and health protocols for all guests such as the obligation to carry out body temperature checks, pay attention to safe distance markings and wear masks before, during and after flight. Passengers are also advised to bring a spare mask and clean their hands regularly.

“AirAsia introduced a new policy regarding passenger luggage to minimize touch with other passengers. Passengers are only allowed to carry one small bag onto the plane in the form of a laptop bag or tote bag with a size of 40 cm (height) x 30 cm (length) x 10 cm (width) and weigh no more than seven kilograms,” Achmad Sadikin noted.

He stressed, luggage outside of these provisions will be shared. AirAsia provides a free baggage allowance of 15 kilograms for domestic flights. In accordance with the latest regulations, AirAsia will limit the sale of food and souvenirs during flights. Passengers are expected to have ordered food and drinks through the “My Purchase” feature on airasia.com or the AirAsia application at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure.

“AirAsia will run the management of guest movements during the boarding and alighting process for the convenience of all guests. He explained that as for the new normality protocol for staff on duty, during flight the cabin crew must use protective equipment, such as masks, gloves, protective glasses, and routine hand washing. Plastic aprons or hazmat clothing will be used in certain conditions.

“When serving guests, all ground officers are required to use protective equipment, such as masks, gloves, face shields, and hand sanitizers.
