UOB COLLABORATES WITH HALODOC TO DONATE 20,000 MASKS TO REDUCE COVID-19

UOB Indonesia is partnering with Halodoc to donate 20,000 masks today to representatives of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) organization in Cikoko and Setiabudi districts, Jakarta, and Sukamaju, Depok.

PKK will then distribute these masks to underprivileged families in a number of areas with a high number of active COVID-19 cases. The mask donation is carried out in order to support the “Movement to Use Masks” program which the Indonesian government continues to intensify.

According to Maya Rizano, Strategic Communications and Brand Head, UOB Indonesia, said this pandemic had a huge impact on society. In order to help them fight the pandemic, UOB Indonesia used the funds raised through the UOB Heartbeat Global Virtual Run/Walk program, which was held in October, to distribute masks to community members in need.

“We believe that through the PKK, the distribution of masks can reach community groups the most vulnerable, ranging from the elderly and pregnant women to people with disabilities so that they can protect themselves with the simple action of wearing a mask. This is also part of our commitment to continue to spread goodness,” Maya Rizano said.

She explained that Halodoc is UOB Indonesia’s partner in the UOB Heartbeat Global Virtual program Run/Walk. UOB Indonesia also collaborated with two alumni of UOB Painting of the Year (Indonesia) winning artists to design masks. The two artists are Alvian Anta Putera (Most Promising Artist of The Year, 2017) and Diana Puspita (Bronze Award, Emerging Artist Category, 2016).

Meanwhile, Dionisius Nathaniel, Chief Marketing Officer of Halodoc, said that as a government-appointed Communication, Information and Education (IEC) partner, Halodoc continues to be at the forefront of raising awareness about the importance of complying with strict health and hygiene protocols to control the spread of COVID-19.

“We believe that the creative element in this mask design will attract more people to wear a mask. We appreciate UOB Indonesia’s efforts and are honored to be able to work together on this creative social initiative,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
