WESTIN HOTELS & RESORTS EXPANDS WITH THE OPENING A NEW HOTEL IN SURABAYA

WESTIN Hotels & Resorts makes debut in Surabaya with the opening of The Westin Surabaya. Embracing the brand’s foundational pillars of Eat Well, Move Well and Sleep Well, the new hotel features signature brand programs that enable guests to maintain their wellbeing while they are on the road.

According to Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International said we are excited to open the fourth Westin hotel in Indonesia, expanding the brand’s signature wellbeing offering to more locals and travelers. This opening of a IDR650 billion total investment of the hotel also marks the 57th Marriott International hotel in Indonesia, indicative of our commitment to expanding our footprint in the region.

“Surabaya is a city that embodies a fascinating blend of the old and the new. Travellers can discover the city’s history and culture while enjoying the modern culinary scene. Guests staying at The Westin Surabaya can recharge and reenergize while enjoying what the city has to offer,” he said.

As the second largest city in Indonesia and the capital of the East Java province, Surabaya is home to colonial architecture and historical monuments including the Heroes Monument, Surabaya Submarine Monument and Tunjungan Plaza, all within close proximity of the hotel.

Meanwhile Ramesh Jackson, Area Vice President for Indonesia, Marriott International said guests staying at The Westin Surabaya also have direct access to one of the largest shopping malls in Indonesia, The Pakuwon Mall. The new hotel is an ideal base for golf lovers as it is surrounded by golf courses including Pakuwon Golf & Family Club and Bukit Darmo Golf, both within 10-minutes’ drive.
