MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy will use the Tlusur application to provide information on tourist destinations in Indonesia.
In a meeting with PT Fantastis Anak Bangsa (FAB) as the developer of the Tlusur application at Surya Cafe, Benoa, Bali, Sunday (21/3), the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, said that this application could be used for provide information such as the application of health protocols at tourist destinations, as well as the number of visitor capacities at those destinations. This application will report its users when a tourist destination is empty, and vice versa.
Sandiaga revealed that the Tlusur application is expected to be able to assist his party in conducting the testing and tracing process of sufferers of COVID-19. This is also closely related to the plan to open a travel corridor in Bali.
“Once Bali is opened to tourists, there will be three green zones. So if, for example, tourists who come are registered in this application, their movements in these three zones can be monitored,” he said.
In addition, Sandiaga also said that the application that will enter the alpha testing period is planned to be collaborated with existing tracing applications, such as E-HAC from the Ministry of Health and Care for Protection from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
“In addition, we will collaborate with these applications that have been developed by the local government. Now this application will enter the first alpha testing, followed by beta testing. Hopefully in June or July when Bali opens, this application can be used,” Sandiaga noted.
However, Sandiaga added that later this application would be implemented in all tourist destinations in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of PT FAB, Fritz Tobing, said that this application is expected to provide security guarantees for people traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The concept of this application is to protect tourists with the latest tracking updates and share various information from tourist destinations in Bali.
