INDONESIA’S Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy emphasizes the importance of developing the creativity of tourism and creative economy (Parekraf) players in developing and advancing these two sectors in Indonesia.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in the webinar G-CINC Creative Year 2021: Our Roots, Our People, Our Culture, Thursday (25/3), said that since time immemorial, the Indonesian nation has been known as a nation of creativity. high. This is evident from the various innovations made by the ancestors of the Indonesian nation in terms of rice cultivation which was first discovered in Sulawesi five thousand years ago.

“This continues to develop into a long-lasting creative innovation in the continuity of our agriculture. From measuring water with bamboo in the Bali Subak system to building effective barns in Rangkiang in Minangkabau culture. This proves that Indonesia has been blessed with creativity since time immemorial,” Sandiaga said.

This creativity, Sandiaga continued, needs to be developed by prioritizing the roots of Indonesian traditions and culture. So that the development of the creativity of tourism and creative economy (Parekraf) players is more advanced.

“The good thing about the creative process is that creative ideas are always a continuous process, with thousands, or even millions of adjustments to perfection. So that they represent the roots of our culture as a whole,” he stated.

Sandiaga also said that Tourism Ministry had several programs to develop the country’s creativity of tourism and creative economy (Parekraf) players. Among them are the Review of Nusantara Culinary Packaging Design (BEDA’KAN); Aksilaration program (Action in Harmony); and various incubation programs.

“These programs aim to help the Indonesian people to come up with ideas that celebrate the cultural roots of the nation. At the same time, expand opportunities and create a creative ecosystem in the future,” Sandiaga added.

In addition to these programs, Sandiaga continued, Tourism Ministry is also trying to form a creative economy ecosystem that is fair to all levels of Indonesian society. So that the products and services of tourism actors and the creative economy will develop in a better direction. [traveltext.id]
