“The government will continue to encourage accelerated economic recovery. However, we must ensure that the number of COVID-19 transmission can be controlled properly. Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) on a micro scale shows quite good initial results, therefore we will continue to suppress it so that it does not. there is an increase in cases,” he said.

“Currently, the soft loan is being discussed and discussed across ministries/agencies. We hope to get a bright spot in the near future. Apart from that, the parekraf players also need restructuring. Because once Bali reopens in June-July 2021, these efforts are from a perspective. site supply needs funds to operate again, especially related to aid funds, either restructuring funds or soft loans,” he noted.

Sandiaga Uno added that he had proposed a tourism grant for 2021 of IDR 3.7 trillion. However, his party is currently collecting well verified data and it is hoped that the absorption can be maximized because there is far more time than last year.

“The tourism grants will be channeled to the tourism sector, not only hotels and restaurants but also expanded to include recreation areas, travel agencies, and others,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said that the government continues to seek solutions to encourage mobility and consumption without causing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to worsen. On the other hand, the industrial sector, including tourism, has experienced a deep contraction for more than one year.

“I realize that Bali is one of the provinces most affected by this pandemic. So after we heard the various aspirations of the hotel, restaurant, cafe, horeca businesses, this is one of the most devastatingly affected by COVID-19. Bali province, here the allocation is IDR3.3 trillion for 101 regions throughout the region. For Bali alone, IDR1.18 trillion for 9 regencies/cities,” she said.

Sri Mulyani explained that her party would use the Special Allocation Fund instrument to support the tourism sector to get up and recover quickly, especially in Bali. The Ministry of Finance has issued the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 32/PMK.08/2021 regarding the working capital credit guarantee scheme. Through this regulation, the government loosens credit guarantees for business actors who employ a minimum of 50 employees, from the previous limit of at least 300 employees.

“The amount of the loan was lowered, the length of the loan was extended to 3 years, and this is all attributed especially to the many companies in the hotel, accommodation and restaurant sectors which were quite affected,” she concluded. [traveltext.id]
