DEV’T TRAVEL PATTERNS FOR THE GREEN ZONE OF BALI-THREE GILIS LOMBOK

INDONESIA’S Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will immediately prepare a travel pattern that connects the green zone in Bali with Lombok. Namely the Sanur area which is one of three areas designated as a green zone by the Bali Provincial Government with three dyke areas (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, Gili Air) in North Lombok.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno during a visit to Gili Trawangan, North Lombok, on the agenda of his work visit to West Nusa Tenggara, said the three dyke area is a green zone because of zero COVID-19 cases.

“We will build a travel pattern because this zone (three dyke) is a green zone with no cases (COVID-19) here. Because of this zero case, it is interesting to be interconnected with other green zones, namely Sanur in Bali,” said Sandiaga Uno, Thursday (6/5) afternoon.

The Ministry of Tourism will encourage the active role of the industry to be able to make tour packages that can be offered. Support from all stakeholders in the tourism sector and the creative economy is very important to be able to reorganize the new era of tourism based on quality and sustainable nature and culture.

“We will work with actors in the tourism sector in Bali to sell packages that can be alternatives. For example, in June or July, Bali can be opened (for foreign tourists) with a better condition of COVID-19, by implementing strict health protocols. and our discipline can also be open to Gili,” he stated.

He also explained that we will also encourage the holding of events, because events are one of the fastest in encouraging the movement of domestic tourists. Still obliged to apply the health protocols with discipline.

Sandiaga, who on that occasion held a dialogue with tourism and creative economy players in Gili Trawangan, also said that I would encourage increased creative economy products. The Tourism Ministry will prepare assistance and capacity building for Creative Economy players with various programs owned by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Starting from mentoring so that ecographers can take full advantage of the digital platform, as well as increase capacity. Among them are ‘Bedakan’ or Differentiate, business improvement and development programs for culinary creative players through understanding the important functions of product packaging and packaging redesign as well as ‘Begerak’ or Move, revitalization assistance for improving aesthetic functions, display functions, health functions, and production functions of culinary outlets, and other programs

“I went directly to Gili Trawangan with the governor and got input from the actors and also the deputy regent. We are committed to reviving and restoring Gili Trawangan tourism with several programs that hopefully can be executed and felt by the community,” Sandiaga noted.

Meanwhile, the Governor of NTB, Zulkieflimansyah, invited local people to visit the Tiga Gili (three gilis) area. With various programs and special offers that industry players currently have, it will certainly be an attractive offer.

“Currently, the price offered is relatively cheap for the Gili, affordable. So far we have focused on foreign tourists, but it turns out that there are domestic tourists in front of our eyes that we have not touched with the totality before,” Zulkieflimansyah concluded. [traveltext.id]
