AMAZON developed a data center for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services in Indonesia with a value of US $ 2.5 billion.

According to the Director of the Electronics and Telematics Industry Ministry of Industry Janu Suryanto said the information was indeed correct. However, I can not explain where the location of the data center development.

“Amazon has already realized it. The value of US $ 2.5 billion Amazon has met with the Ministry of Industry. Although it cannot say the exact location, the data center will be developed in three locations in two regions with an area of 20 hectares each,” he said.

He said the realization of the investment was good news for Indonesia. This is certainly very good for Indonesia’s investment climate. This proves that Indonesia’s condition is not bad.

Janu considers that the development of this database will be very beneficial for the development of national business and industry. The presence of the data center is also believed to be supporting the implementation of the national industry revolution road map or Making Indonesia 4.0.
