SPACEX COLLABORATES WITH AGENCY CREATE A TOUR AROUND THE OUTER SPACE

SPACEX plans to make a tour for four people out of space to travel around the earth around the end of 2021 or in early 2022. Elon Musk’s space transportation company announced cooperation with the space tourism agency, Space Adventure.

According to The Verge recently said Space Adventures unfortunately did not reveal the price of the mission, and the two companies did not have further details, such as the preparations tourists had to make.

Previously, Space Adventures succeeded in helping seven people to travel to (and from) the International Space Station (ISS) by boarding Russian Soyuz rockets and spacecraft.

SpaceX and Space Adventures say that tourists will fly in a version of the Dragon spacecraft that SpaceX can use, and will orbit the Earth about two to three times 250 miles from the height of the ISS.

SpaceX has spent the last few years building and testing new versions of the Dragon spacecraft. This was done as part of a contract with NASA to bring astronauts to and from the ISS, after years of using a spacecraft to transport cargo to the ISS.

SpaceX recently completed a second flight test from Crew Dragon, which tested the capsule’s ability to escape from an exploding rocket.

Previously, CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, had initiated space tourism as a new business. In 2017, SpaceX announced that it had received an undisclosed amount of payment from two customers to tour the Moon using Crew Dragon and Falcon Heavy rockets. At that time, SpaceX said the tour would take place at the end of 2018.

In September 2018, SpaceX announced it intended to send one of the passengers, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, to circle the Moon using Big Fcon Rocket, which SpaceX had not yet made.

Maezawa plans to start a trip to the Moon in early 2023. Meanwhile, it is not yet clear what happened to the second customer. [antaranews/photo special]
