BURBERRY, a British fashion house announced it is ready to launch 100,000 masks with Burberry motifs to help meet the needs of personal protective equipment for medical personnel.

Quoted from Metro.co.uk, Burberry has stated it is ready to participate in producing protective clothing similar to astronauts and masks for medical personnel and patients in British hospitals. The company also said the clothes and masks would be produced from their factory in Yorkshire.

According to Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci stated through social media that Burberry was actively involved with the world community against Corona. I am very proud to be a part of Burberry to help push our community together through this crisis.

“Not only that, Burberry will also donate a number of funds to Oxford University to conduct COVID-19 vaccine research which is planned to be tested on patients in April 2020,” he said.

He added, although vaccine trials generally take months, Burberry will still contribute in the short term by distributing basic food to the lower middle class through The Felix Project and FareShare.

Meanwhile Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti added that COVID-19 fundamentally changed people’s daily behavior. He hoped that Burberry could be involved in supporting changes in the pattern of human life for the better future.
