SRIWIJAYA AIR GROUP RE-0PENS DOMESTIC FLIGHTS SERVICE ON MAY 13, 2020

SRIWIJAYA Air Group is ready to re-operate its domestic flights as of May 13, 2020 by guiding the terms and conditions set by the Indonesian aviation regulator.

According to Sriwijaya Air Managing Director, Jefferson Jauwena in his press release, Sunday (10/5) said that Sriwijaya Air Group’s domestic flight service is intended for customers who meet the requirements set by the COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force through Circular Letter No. 4 of 2020 concerning Criteria for Restrictions on the Travel of People in the Context of Handling the COVID-19 Handling which regulates the prohibition of homecoming activities.

“In addition, Circular Letter Number 31 of 2020 by the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the Arrangement of Air Transportation During the Prohibited Period of Eid Al-Fitr in the context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19,” he said.

He added, with the two guidelines, it meant that Sriwijaya Air Group would only serve customers traveling on business trips, repatriating Indonesian citizens/students/migrant workers/returning people for special reasons, patients who needed emergency health services and customers whose families were seriously ill or died permanently implement applicable health protocols.

“Customers are expected to complete travel documents that must be presented at the time of ticket purchase, including a health certificate and COVID-19 free from hospitals/health agencies, assignments from offices and related agencies, travel statements and various other supporting documents,” Jefferson said.

“Prospective customers must be able to show the completeness of physical documents when checking in at the counter Sriwijaya Air Group. All of these protocols are carried out very rigorously to ensure that there are no customers traveling for Lebaran homecoming purposes. And given the strict process of passenger verification at the airport, we urge Sriwijaya Air Group customers to attend three hours before their flight,” Jefferson said.
