SINGAPORE’S Sentosa Island, famous for its playgrounds, beaches and Universal Studios, which are usually the main destinations for tourists, is now presented virtually.
Even the digital version of the island has been created in the simulation game Animal Crossing: New Horizons by Nintendo Co. Based on the official statement of Sentosa Development Corp, reported by Bloomberg, recently, the game will be launched on June 1, 2020.
In fact, people can also see Cocktail Club tutorials on Instagram Sentosa and do virtual yoga in beach classes.
COVID-19 pandemic which attacks almost all over the world, including Singapore, also makes Sentosa Island which is usually crowded nowadays to be quiet. This island had filled the international news headlines when US President Donald Trump met with North Korean President Kim Jong Un.
The Singapore government even continues to advertise Sentosa Island as a haven of pleasure and invites its citizens to spend their holidays on the island. The island is also famous for its casinos, aquariums, several luxury hotels, and marinas which are equipped with bars and restaurants.
