ERICK: I INAUGURATED THE INTEGRATED SERVICE STATIONS IN JAKARTA

MINISTER of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir will inaugurate integrated stations at Tanah Abang Station and Sudirman Station, Jakarta.

Erick said that the integrated station was a collaboration between BUMN through PT Kereta Api Indonesia and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through PT MRT Jakarta regarding a joint venture to manage an integrated station in the capital.

“This integrated station shows that healthy ecosystems have been built between BUMN, BUMD and the private sector in providing integrated transportation services for the community,” said Erick.

This, he continued, is also the desire of President Jokowi that Jakarta as the capital city has an integrated transportation management system.

Erick explained that in addition to fixing the four pioneering stations so that transportation connectivity runs smoothly, he conveyed that in each integrated station a location arrangement was also made for the convenience of the passengers while waiting, among others by utilizing land for settling and going up and down online ojek, base ojek, bajaj, small buses (Jak Lingko and regular), locations of Transjakarta bus stops, microtrans, and others.

“Not only the arrangement of public transportation’s ups and downs, the arrangement of facilities and infrastructure has also been carried out. For example, fixing corridors and pedestrian facilities, Transjakarta bus lay bays, providing directional signs to managing street vendors,” Erick noted. [antaranews/photo special]
