JAKARTA’S TOURISM INDUSTRIES TO APPLY THE NEW NORMAL PROTOCOL

MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy in collaboration with Jakarta’s Office of Tourism & Creative Economy is holding an online activity titled “New Normalization Socialization in the Tourism and Creative Economy Sector”. This activity is expected to be a means of information for the community related to the new normal in the tourism sector and the creative economy, especially in Jakarta Province.

According to the Head of Jakarta’s Creative Economy and Tourism Office, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia, said, at present our office is gradually opening the tourism and creative economy sector in Jakarta Province with the implementation of strict hygiene, health and safety protocols.

“One of them is the application of capacity in each of the tourist sites as much as 50% or half of the maximum capacity. The Provincial Government of Jakarta has previously drawn up a new normality protocol in the tourism sector and the creative economy by involving all stakeholders. Where each the industry has a different approach in implementing the new normal protocol,” he said.

He added, I hope that this opportunity can be put to good use by Jakartans even though there is no need for euphoria but still by maintaining discipline in implementing health protocols. At present there is only commitment from the industry to implement protocols with discipline. Including visitors to equally implement health protocols.

Meanwhile the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio welcomed the socialization activities towards a new normality in the tourism sector and creative economy which focused on the implementation of cleanliness, health and safety factors in the tourism sector and the creative economy.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is happening all over the world, which has made us aware of the importance of applying discipline in the aspects of cleanliness, health and safety that makes us have to be ready to face a new normal,” Wishnutama noted.

Wishnutama explained, through this activity all levels of society were expected to be able to implement health protocols and responsibilities and discipline so as to be able to suppress the spread of COVID-19 and remain productive. New Normal Socialization in the Tourism Sector and Creative Economy lasted for two days on June 20-21, 2020. Various partners who took part in the socialization this time consisted of various elements, including Grand Indonesia Mall, BRI Bank, and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia.

Then from Blibli, Bukalapak, JD.id, Lazada, Shopee and Tokopedia. Transportation companies that were involved included Blue Bird, Gojek, and Grab. The tourism industry includes the Accor Group, Ancol, the Thousand Islands, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, as well as the Legal Contract.

Besides being enlivened through the official digital media channel of the Tourism Ministry and partners, a Micro small and Medium Enterprises product showcase was also held at the Grand Indonesia Mall. Tourism Ministry cooperates with partners’ platforms to be integrated online to limit the crowd in the offline event but still can reach the attention of many people. [traveltext.id/photo special]
