JUANDA AIRPORT APPLIES HEALTH PROTOCOLS IN COMMERCIAL AREAS

JUANDA International Airport, Surabaya, East Java, applies health protocols in commercial areas, especially in the area of ​​business partners, as a next step in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

According to the General Manager of Juanda International Airport, Colonel Laut (P). Heru Prasetyo, said the implementation of health protocols in the new normal order had been gradually begun from the beginning of June.

“Starting with the implementation of passenger operations as well as business partner and work partner areas at Juanda International Airport. In implementing the new normal order protocol at Juanda International Airport, business and work partners are required to meet several criteria,” he said.

He added, starting from preparing cleaning facilities namely sterilizers (UV rays), disinfectant liquids (for table and floor cleaners), and the provision of hand washing facilities or antiseptic liquids.

“Business partner and business partner workers must equip personal protective equipment (PPE), such as waitresses, cashiers and cooks, must wear masks, face shields. The airport ID card, gloves, apron, head cover, uniform and shoes are also required,” Heru noted.

Heru explained that all business partners and businesses have also implemented worker checks before serving or starting activities with a body temperature check, ensuring hand washing before and after serving and changing work uniforms at the work site.

“For commercial areas the onsite dining service has been set to a maximum of 50 percent of capacity with a 1.5 meter table spacing. Not to forget we also encourage business partners to provide non-cash payment instruments to minimize direct contact,” he said.

He stated that the overall effort was carried out with the aim of growing the level of customer confidence, that the airport had implemented a comprehensive health protocol. The comfort, safety and security of service users is our main concern. Considering that the new era of normal aviation had already been applied, we also adapted. Hopefully with these efforts, service users do not feel worried about being able to stop by and shop at the outlets we provide at the airport.

Meanwhile Budi Utomo, one of the business partners at Juanda International Airport, said that some of his outlets were ready to be opened again in the new normal normal order.

“We follow the new SOP normal protocol protocol that has been given by PT Angkasa Pura I. In addition, we also innovate by providing automatic body temperature gauges and hand sanitizers without touching.
