YOU CAN USE OF THE ONLINE FERRY TICKET RESERVATION APPLICATION ‘FERIZY’ NOW

THE use of Ferizy’s online-based ferry ticket reservation application was officially launched at the Merak Executive Port, Banten recently.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy said the Tourism Ministry supports the use of the application because connectivity is one of the main supporting factors in the development of tourism and the creative economy in Indonesia.

“Ferizy, which can be accessed through the website and application on the smartphone, is referred to as an answer to people’s expectations to accelerate and facilitate ferry ticket reservation services using digital technology,” he said.

He added, I believe going forward, with the accelerating digital era that is more rapid during the COVID-19 pandemic, the trend of ticket purchases via online will continue to increase along with people’s lifestyles in the new normalcy era. The COVID-19 pandemic made the digital era accelerate faster than it should, forcing almost everyone to transform their activities to a digital platform.

Also attending the launch event was “Ferizy” Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Managing Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Ira Puspadewi, and Banten Police Chief Inspector General of Police. Drs. Fiandar.

The presence of Ferizy services is also a form of synergy between ministries/institutions in this case the Ministry of SOEs, the Ministry of Transportation, and other stakeholders who always support the development of the tourism sector and the creative economy.

“I hope the Ferizy application can make ferry service users more independent, easy, safe, and comfortable traveling,” Wishnutama said.

Meanwhile the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, said the presence of this service will facilitate services for the public and tourists. The Ministry of Transportation plans to grant the management of 20 terminals on Lake Toba to ASDP.

“Ferizy’s presence is a step forward to be implemented, which is also expected to provide convenience in providing services and learning for the community and tourists,” Budi Karya said.

Likewise, according to SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the presence of three ministers in the launch of Ferizy was not merely ceremonial, but reflected the government’s commitment to facilitate and serve the community well.

“In this case ASDP through Ferizy has reflected these two things, that public services must take precedence,” Erick Thohir noted.

Furthermore, he hopes the ferry terminal is also integrated with other public transportation. Especially with the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road which is currently only able to increase community activities by 40 percent between Java and Sumatra.

“This needs to be anticipated. I hope that the improvement in the quality of work in ASDP must continue to be maintained. But I am sure this can be done let alone be supported by BUMN and BUMD and also entrepreneurs in the regions and the private sector,” Erick Thohir said.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Managing Director Ira Puspadewi said that Ferizy’s online ticketing service was one of the digital transformations that ASDP carried out as a manifestation of improved SOE services in providing convenience and comfort for the community. The Ferizy website and application created by ASDP in collaboration with PT Telkom Indonesia, became one of the company’s milestones in 2020.

“The queue is one of the challenges faced by ASDP, especially at peak times such as holidays. Ferizy’s presence which can be ordered from 60 days before departure is expected to facilitate the community,” Ira said. [traveltext.id]
