SRIWIJAYA AIR ADDS COMPENSATION TO VICTIM INHERITANCE TO IDR1.5 BILLION

SRIWIJAYA Air provides additional compensation compensation to the heirs of the SJ-182 plane victims worth IDR250 million in addition to statutory compensation obligations of IDR1.25 billion.

According to Sriwijaya Air President Director Jefferson Jauwena to his official press release (20/1) said we are committed to completing the best possible compensation for the heirs of SJ-182 passengers. Compensation that will be handed over to the heirs is IDR1.25 billion in accordance with government regulations and an additional IDR250 million as other compensation.

“That way, the total compensation that Sriwijaya Air will provide is IDR1.5 billion. Today will be the beginning of the process of handing over Sriwijaya Air’s compensation to the families of passengers. We will continue to ensure that the process of giving this compensation can run smoothly until all the heirs receive their rights,” he said.

Sriwijaya Air, he continued, had also facilitated accommodation, transportation and assistance to the burial of the body. The process of handing over compensation has been carried out symbolically in the presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo at the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), on Wednesday (20/1).
