GRAB-TOURISM MINISTRY COLLABORATES TO SUPPORT CREATIVE ECONOMY MSMES

GRAB Indonesia, the leading super app, has officially announced its collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to support the #BeliKKreatifDanauToba campaign and accelerate economic recovery through the tourism sector and the creative economy.

Grab support will be focused on promoting trips and exploration of Lake Toba through the Grab service, training to improve service quality for merchants and driver partners, providing attractive and affordable travel promotion packages, and supporting the implementation of Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) from the Ministry. “Apart from sustainable development, skillful resource capabilities and mastery of science and technology can also be the driving force for the growth of the Lake Toba destination. The training and support from Grab also contribute to accelerating development and driving the success of the Proud Made Indonesia program,” Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan explained.

Meanwhile, Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, said that the Buy Local Creative program in Lake Toba aims to provide opportunities for business people in the tourism sector and the creative economy to survive in this challenging situation.

“We hope this can increase employment in the tourism and creative economy sectors so that they can contribute to Indonesia’s economic recovery. The role of private parties such as Grab is an important part of this process, and we welcome the ongoing support provided by Grab to the tourism sector and the country’s creative economy,” Sandiaga Uno noted.
