PEGIPEGI-TOURISM MINISTRY COLLABORATES TO ACCELERATE INDONESIAN TOURISM

PEGIPEGI and the Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy have collaborated to encourage the acceleration of tourism in Indonesia. This collaboration is implemented in line with the #DiIndonesiaAja program through 3 main program pillars, namely the Safety Feature, Promo Discounts, and information on tourist destinations through Explore the Archipelago.

For the safety feature, Pegipegi has launched the Clean & Safe Stay feature which helps each customer to choose a hotel that has implemented high hygiene standards to ensure a safe and comfortable experience during their stay. There are 4 important aspects that every hotel should pay attention to in this feature. Among them are a hygienic environment, room cleanliness, well-trained hotel staff, to clean restaurants & laundry.

In the future, Pegipegi will integrate a list of hotels that have been Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) certified by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This is so that the public can easily access hotel partners who are guaranteed cleanliness and safety. Pegipegi will also provide special promo programs with various schemes and periods.

The promos that are presented will also focus on inviting people to stay safe. In a new normal situation like today, it is important for people when going to travel to get information and tips about traveling.

Pegipegi will present a variety of complete information that can be accessed easily through the Pegipegi application and web related to various tourist destinations in Indonesia, especially Indonesia’s five super priority destinations such as Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, Lake Toba, Likupang, and Borobudur, as well as other potential Indonesian destinations.

According to Serlina Wijaya, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pegipegi, said that to revive Indonesian tourism is a challenging task. However, we are optimistic that we can go through this by working together and collaborating with many parties, including the government.

“We believe that with the superiority of our platform, we can accelerate the recovery of Indonesian tourism by prioritizing cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability,” Serlina Wijaya noted.

Meanwhile, Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism & Creative Economy, said that travel industry players such as Pegipegi are very eager to revive Indonesian tourism.

“Adaptation, innovation and collaboration are our keys together if we want to accelerate recovery where this industry has been affected for a long time. The government in this case is very supportive and will help tourism industry players so that this situation improves and creates the widest possible job opportunities,” he finished.
