WHILE 200 AIRCRAFT PARKED, AIRASIA IS READY TO FULFILL SANDIAGA UNO’S REQUEST

THERE was a special request submitted by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno to AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes. This special request was addressed to the AirAsia Group boss. This request is related to the development of tourism destinations in Indonesia.

Sandiaga revealed the request during a meeting with Tony Fernandes virtually. In this meeting I asked for AirAsia airline flights to 5 super priority tourism destinations which we believe will bring in many Asian tourists such as Thailand, China and India.

“This is our preparation to welcome foreign tourists back by applying the Free COVID Corridor or Travel Bubble concept,” he continued.

Sandiaga also talked about the potential for tourism in Indonesia. He hopes, with the implementation of vaccination in this country, Indonesia will have a good opportunity for better tourism.

“So how can we make Indonesia’s economy recover. And closing the airport in my opinion is not going to increase our chances of a speedy recovery. But if you promise that there will be flights ready to 5 super priority destinations to support. And please consider 5 other destinations,” Sandiaga concluded. [kontan.co.id/photo special]
