INDONESIA’S President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will open a large industrial exhibition event, the Hannover Messe in Germany, or the Hannover Fair which is scheduled for 12 April 2021.
According to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto after attending a Limited Meeting, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday (05/04) afternoon said in this event Indonesia is the official country partner for the Hannover Messe 2021 which is opened and fully held using a digital platform. It is scheduled that 156 Indonesian companies will take part in the exhibition. Apart from 2021, Indonesia will also become the official country partner for the Hannover Messe in 2023.
“This prestigious and largest industrial technology exhibition event in the world, Indonesia as the country’s official partner carries the theme ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’, which is still relevant to the Hannover Messe 2021 theme itself, namely Industrial Transformation,” Airlangga said.
The tagline, he continued that is carried by Indonesia is ‘Connect to Accelerate’, to encourage the synergy to be formed to support the growth of industry 4.0 in Indonesia. The tagline is also a branding strategy that describes calls and invitations to all stakeholders (government, industry players, and investors) from within and outside the country to work together and collaborate in order to accelerate and strengthen industrial growth in Indonesia through the application of industrial technology 4.0.
“For Indonesia, this event is an opportunity to present Indonesia’s face in the eyes of the world in efforts to transform the economy, especially in industry 4.0 as well as efforts to restore the national economy during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he concluded. [sources]
