IN order to preparing tourist destinations and attractions for Indonesian tourists who are going on holiday to France, Atout France as a French tourism agency has prepared many strategic steps to add tourists from Indonesia and Southeast Asia to visit there.
According to Atout France’s Asia & Southeast Asia Regional Director, Morad Tayebi, told traveltext.id in Clubmet, Phuket, Thailand recently that with the target of 400 thousand tourists from Indonesia by 2020, we have prepared several new destinations and attractions that we will offer later than Lyon, Marseille, Paris, Nice and Bordeaux the most visited by Indonesian tourists during 2019.
“The destinations and other tourist attractions that are suitable for Indonesian tourists are Galleries Lafayette, Deauville, La Vallee Village, Saint Tropez and Sodexo with a number of attractions and culinary tours in Paris,” he said.
Morad Tayebi mentioned that there are a number of culinary attractions and tours in Paris for Indonesian tourists. It is Sodexo’s fault that it manages a number of destinations. There is the Bateaux Parisisien, a boat cruise down the Seine with delicious food and a chef who cooks directly on board. There is a lunch cruise, dinner equipped with romantic music entertainment.
Meanwhile Cesar Labat, Sadexo Sales Manager said we would prepare a more exciting package for a 1 hour sightseeing cruise on the Seine River with a modern boat with an audio guide of 14 languages. Besides that Sodexo also manages a number of destinations including Bateaux Parisisien, a cruise boat down the River Seine with delicious meals and a chef who cooks directly on board. There is a lunch cruise, dinner equipped with romantic music entertainment.
Likewise, according to Jesslyn Wong, La Vallee Village Travel Trade & Marketing Manager said another destination promoted for Indonesian tourists who love shopping is La Vallee Village. This is a tourist village whose contents are shopping boutiques from 110 international brands. The location is near Disneyland Paris or 40 minutes from the City of Paris.
“We also have Indonesian-speaking staff, Indonesia is the top 5 countries of origin of tourists who shop at our place. There are about 6 million visitors from 175 countries. They even received 2,000 groups of Indonesian tourists who came in two days while trying out halal food at La Vallee Village,” she said.
As well as the Galeries Lafayette, according to Thierry Vannier, Director of Client & Operational Marketing said Indonesian tourists visited the most Christmas and New Year Eve because Indonesian tourists here can enjoy a very impressive Christmas atmosphere in Paris.
“The Christmas decorations at the Galeries Lafayette are very beautiful, decorated with a giant Christmas tree as a centerpiece and various other typical Christmas decorations in all corners of the building. We can walk on a path made of glass on the third floor from where we can see the Christmas tree up close. So it’s no wonder that this colorful giant Christmas tree is one of the most awaited,” he added.
While Stephane Langevin, Deauville Head & Promotion Distribution said with its beautiful and varied scenery and rich history, Normandy has a lot to offer visitors. The Deauville seaside resort is very popular during the summer, and the natural beauty of the region’s coastline, forests and meadows is an attraction.
“Deauville’s upscale seaside resort is one of the largest and most popular tourist destinations in Normandy. The beautiful waterfront has two kilometers of sandy beach and promenade (boardwalk) for a walk on the beach. Lifeguards are on duty every day from 10 am to 7 pm in July and August and in June and September (with more limited hours of supervision). Visitors can rent umbrellas, lounge chairs and beach cabins,” he said.
He added, ancient colorful umbrellas and beach tents gave a classic impression in the 1920s. Sunbathers can take a break from the beach to shop at fashionable boutiques or enjoy a meal at one of Deauville’s style restaurants.
“Another attraction is the port. There are several boating marinas and the Morny Harbor, with the Deauville Yacht Club. The yacht club organizes many high-level regattas, and the old town of Deauville sailing events such as Deauville International Week, attracts visitors from many countries. From the harbor, tourists can continue along the beautiful Côte Fleurie (Coast of Flowers), which stretches 30 kilometers southwest to Cabourg,” said Stephane Langevin.
Now, if you are on holiday in France, know that Paris is not the only romantic city there, said Claude Maniscalco Director of Saint-Tropez Tourism, there are still some other places that are no less beautiful and suitable as a vacation destination, both with family, friends, or with a partner. Saint-Tropez is located in Provence, one of the other regions in the South of France. In fact, this city is a blend of traditional and modern life packed with French specialties.
According to Claude Maniscalco, one of the most popular destinations here is typical Mediterranean cuisine with traditional flavors. In addition to its cuisine, Saint-Tropez also offers a variety of wines which are one of the main industries here. You can also visit the vineyard as well as taste wine made by local Saint-Tropez residents. [traveltext.id/photo special]
