A technology company providing travel and lifestyle services Traveloka has partnered with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) to expand the easy access of PayLater credit to users of the application.
According to President of Traveloka Group Operations Henry Hendrawan in Jakarta said this was a long-term strategic partnership between banks and digital platforms to facilitate customers accessing and alternative payments in the Traveloka application through the PayLater feature.
While BNI Consumer Business Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo welcomed the cooperation. According to him, in addition to making it easier for Traveloka users, BNI also sees this as BNI’s steps to expand expansion and increase the convenience of its customers.
“This is the right strategy for the current era, and millennial is the market focus of BNI and Traveloka with huge potential. BNI and Traveloka will collaborate to provide broader services for users and customers,” Anggoro said.

“Undebanked” is a community that has a bank account, but still faces limited access to financial services such as credit cards and unsecured loans (KTA) for various reasons, one of which is a limited credit history.
“Through this partnership, we want to consistently deliver the best service especially for users who Travelerbund underbanked in Indonesia,” Henry said.
Meanwhile, during 2020, BNI’s support for Traveloka PayLater is planned to work on the potential distribution of funds to Rp6 trillion. Later, the funds will be allocated to around one million Traveloka PayLater users during 2020. [antaranews/photo special]
