AIM FOR TOURISTS, GRABCAR AIRPORT OPENS SERVICES AT NGURAH RAI AIRPORT

GRAB through a strategic partnership with PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I officially offers GrabCar Airport services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. The launch of GrabCar at Ngurah Rai Airport can further facilitate the mobility of tourists, both domestic and foreign, from the airport to various destinations in Bali.

According to Tri Sukma Anreianno, Head of Public Affairs at Grab Indonesia, in a press release saying to support the availability of the fleet at Ngurah Rai Airport, Grab formed a partnership with five official airport taxi operators who had previously been registered as AP I’s partners. The five taxi operators: the Cooperative Trans Tuban, Sapta Pesona, Loh Jinawi, Bali Segara, and Kokapura. The drivers who operate the fleet are from the customary villages supporting the airport.

“The traditional village is the Traditional Village of Tuban, Kelan, and Kuta. Drivers have undergone training as GrabCar driver partners in accordance with Grab safety and security standards. “Grab as the only ride-hailing company that officially operates at Ngurah Rai International Airport through the GrabCar Airport service,” Tri Sukma Anreianno said.

While the General Manager of Ngurah Rai Airport Herry A.Y. Sikado said, this service was to answer developments as well as the need for a mode of land transportation that was easily accessed with technology.

“The appointment of Grab as a provider of technology-based land transportation ordering application is the result of a long process. Commercial selection involving various similar companies,” he said.

The selection process was carried out transparently, openly and accountably. Starting with the announcement of the opening of the selection through publication in various local and national media on 19 September 2019 ago. The registration process is also online through the official website www.transport.baliairportselection.com. The Grab Airport service was operational after the soft launch on 10 January.

Through an official partnership with AP I, Grab also provides Grab Lounge facilities as a meeting point between passengers and GrabCar driver partners at the Domestic Arrival Terminal and the Ngurah Rai Airport International Arrival Terminal.

Passengers can wait comfortably while enjoying Grab Lounge facilities in the form of electric charging outlets and assistance from Grab transportation operational staff. [photo special]
