I GUSTI Ngurah Rai International Airport recorded growth in the number of Australian tourist arrivals fulfilling flights to Bali 2019. From the data obtained by Australian tourists recorded a total of 1,230,133, surpassing tourists from China, with a total of 1,196,497 inhabitants. So that the difference is around 33 thousand inhabitants.
According to the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Herry A.Y. Sikado said that in 2018 the number of Chinese tourists who numbered was 1,380,687 people, while in 2019 there were 1,230,133 Chinese tourists coming to Bali via the airport down by 15%.
“Compared to the number of visits in 2018, tourists from Australia grew by 4% in 2019. Then followed by the arrival of Indian passport tourists, who experienced growth of 6%. In contrast to the two countries, the number of tourist arrivals from China has decreased quite dramatically, namely by 15%, “Herry said.
In contrast to previous years, said Herry, in 2019 Chinese tourists no longer occupied the throne as the country with the most tourists contributing to Bali via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Meanwhile, through statistical data collected from January to December 2019, there were 6,298,852 tourists from all over the world who came to Bali by air.
“When compared with the recording period in 2018, there were 6,127,437 foreign tourists served while in 2019 there was a growth rate of 171,415 people, or grew by 3%,” he said.
Surely he said this is a positive note, where the charm and attractiveness of Bali for world tourists is still very strong, as evidenced by the growth from year to year and when the trend of passenger decline and foreign tourist arrivals in many airports in Indonesia, it still record growth.
