THAILAND predicts the number of Chinese tourists will drop by two million to nine million this year due to the corona virus outbreak in China, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said.
According to TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn at a press conference said tourism has been hit because China has banned all tour groups. Tourists from China, the most tourists in Thailand, reached 11 million people last year.
“TAT this week will propose steps to the government to help the tourism industry,” Supasorn added.
