KIA Motors India recently released the 2020 model Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Carnival at the Auto Expo exhibition in Delhi.
Carnival for the Indian market comes in three different types (Premium, Prestige, and Limousine), each of which targets different consumer groups, ranging from young people to elite entrepreneurs. Kia claims to have received more than 1,400 bookings on the first day, with a total of 3,500 bookings to date.
“When Kia was launched in India two years ago, we came here to win the hearts of Indian customers,” Kia Motor India’s CEO, Kookhyun Shim, said in his press release.
“Our latest vehicle, the Kia Carnival is a concrete example of this approach. Carnival uses a 2.2-liter VGT BS6 diesel engine with an eight-speed Sportsmatic transmission,” he said.
Part of the change is a newfangled “tiger nose” grille that is flanked by LED lights. The car uses 18-inch alloy wheels to give the impression tough. Kia provides UVO Connect technology which offers 37 smart features and is connected to a smart watch. [antaranews/photo special]
