ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta held an art exhibition on furniture with the theme CREATE MORE BEYOND by young Indonesian artist Rama Putra, on February 8-March 29, 2020 at ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta.
CREATE MORE BEYOND is an exhibition of design and art by Rama Putra or Mr. Procks, a man born in Jakarta in March 1992. This man who has a relatively young age has indeed been interested in the art of graffiti since 2005. Often called Mr. Procks, Rama Putra works as a furniture designer at Furnibase Indonesia, and also as a freelance graphic design & design consultant since graduating from a university in Jakarta.
Rama is actively involved in various arts events in Jakarta, especially in the fields of interior, furniture & electronic entertainment. He also collaborated with Japanese rapper & producer Shing02 in 2016 – 2017 to advertise one of the Japanese speaker brands. One of his achievements, Rama was awarded for the ‘Best Soundtrack – Short’ FLA SURF FILM in Florida with several producers in 2019.
At the ‘Creating More Beyond’ exhibition, Rama collaborated with graffiti artists, Olderplus and several brands namely Antikmebel, Furnibase & Cahayalampu to showcase the latest furniture designs from the collaboration with Olderplus.
According to Dicky Panjaitan, GM Hotels said the design exhibition with a focus on furniture became our new breakthrough in early 2020, and also as our consistent form to hold good and quality exhibitions.
“We want to show the guests and the community around the hotel that an exhibition is not only an exhibition of paintings but works of art can collaborate with design work so as to produce works that are functional.
