LION AIR THREATENS DEBT RESTRUCTURING THROUGH JAKARTA’S COMMERCIAL COURT

PT LION Mentari Airlines or commonly called Lion Air was asked to restructure its debts through the Central Jakarta Commercial Court .

Based on information from the official website of the Central Jakarta District Court that was quoted by bisnis.com, recently, Eki Adriansyah and W.F. Jimmy Kalebos submitted a request to postpone the debt payment obligation to Lion Air.

Based on Article 222 paragraph 3 of Law No. 37/2004 concerning bankruptcy and postponement of debt repayment obligations, creditors who predict that debtors cannot continue to pay their debts can apply for postponement of debt repayment obligations so that they are given a grace period to settle their debt obligations by providing a peace plan or proposal.

In the request to postpone this debt repayment obligation, the applicant proposed a management team consisting of four people, namely Hardiansyah, Titik Kiranawati Soebagjo, Alfin Sulaiman, and Rein Ronald Silaen.

In Article 225 paragraph 3 of the Bankruptcy Law and postponement of debt repayment obligations, in the event that an application is submitted by a creditor, the Commercial Court, no later than 20 days from the date the application letter is registered, must grant the request to postpone the temporary debt repayment obligation and must appoint a supervisory judge from the court judge. and appoint one or more managers.
