PREPARE IDR10.5 TRILLION, AP I WILL DEVELOP SEVEN AIRPORTS THIS YEAR

PT ANGKASA Pura I will develop seven airports this year by preparing airport development funds worth Rp10.5 trillion.

According to President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said the funding allocation was slightly lower compared to the previous year of Rp17.5 trillion. For funding sources, it came from internal funding of the company, bonds, and credit loans (syndicated).

“Development funds must indeed be adjusted because funding no longer comes entirely from the state budget. This year to improve the quality of airport management that has been owned. AP I will develop seven airports,” Faik said.

Faik explained, the seven airports that will be developed and under construction are Juanda Surabaya Airport (Terminal 1), El Tari Kupang Airport, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, Pattimura Ambon Airport, Manado Sam Ratulangi Airport, Lombok Praya Airport, and Jayapura Sentani Airport.

“To improve competitiveness, AP I not only has sufficient physical capacity but there must also be an increase in the competency of its employees,” he added.

In addition, he continued, the development of the aviation business requires a well-built ecosystem not only of facilities that have been prepared at the airport but also in terms of accessibility.

Faik targets, by 2021, all airport capacities managed by AP I will be good and adequate. It is expected to encourage economic growth through the development of our airport connectivity.

“AP I will also start operating one of its airports on March 29, 2020 namely Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo which will integrate integrated transportation modes, namely between DAMRI, trains, and private taxis,” he said. [antaranews/photo special]
