THE health and well-being of passengers is very important. Japan Airlines (JAL) announces to passengers about increased preventive measures in JAL flights and airport lounges, apart from changes in flight schedules for certain international and domestic routes.

Aircraft Cabin Disinfection
The aircraft operating at the airports listed below were disinfected overnight in Japan. Applicable disinfection areas include seat tables, armrests, IFE monitors / controllers, toilets (including door knobs, sinks) and / or any area that can be touched by passengers during a flight. Regarding aircraft rotation requirements, this action may not be carried out on all flights. Aircraft Cabin Air Quality
Airplane cabs are ventilated through aircraft engines. Thus, fresh air is circulated every two to three minutes. In addition, each JAL fleet has a HEPA * system installed to maintain cabin air purity. * High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) is a filter designed to capture at least 99.97% of fine air particles larger than 0.3 micrometers.
Cabin Crew Using Masks and Gloves
As a precaution, cabin crew will wear masks on all international and domestic flights. They will also wear gloves when serving food and drinks.
Temporary Reduction of International and Domestic Routes
