BADUNG Regency instructs the temporary closure of all attractions in the region from 21 to 31 March 2020 in order to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
According to Deputy Regent of Badung I Ketut Suiasa in Jimbaran, the Regency of Badung said that related to the call of the Governor of Bali to close the tourist attractions, we Badung Regency Government had instructed and requested all tour operators and tourist attractions in Badung both managed by individuals, by villages, including those managed by the government to close everything.
He said the temporary closure of attractions is part of the government’s efforts to reduce the risk of corona virus transmission.
The Regency Government, he continued, will oversee the compliance of tourism object managers in carrying out instructions from the government.
“The Camat helped monitor and the team monitored, now it is easy to conduct surveillance. Using technology, we can monitor so there are no problems related to the supervision of the closure of this attraction,” said Suiasa.
“It is better for us to save people than to think of the results (tourism) first. If we get results but humans are not safe, I see that it is useless for us,” he added.
The Badung Regency Government instructed the temporary closure of tourist objects referring to the Ministry of State Secretary’s letter as well as the call of Bali Governor Wayan Koster regarding the prevention of COVID-19 transmission. [antaranews/photo special]
