INDONESIAN government officially shifted the holiday day together with Eid al-Fitr 1441 H to the end of 2020. The shift in joint leave was done by considering the status of the COVID-19 pandemic non-natural disaster emergency response.
The amendment to the 2020 joint leave was stated in a Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform No. 391/2020, Number 02/2020, and Number 02/2020 concerning the Second Amendment to the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion, Minister of Manpower and Minister Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Number 728/2019, Number 213/2019, and Number 01/2019 concerning National Holidays and 2020 Leave.
The amendment to the joint leave day was carried out at the Ministerial Level Meeting in accordance with President Joko Widodo’s direction in the Limited Meeting on Anticipation of Lebaran Homecoming,
Ministerial Meeting Agreements stipulated in the Joint Decree include shifting leave with Eid al-Fitr 1441 H, which was originally set for May 26-29 2020 to be shifted to December 28-31 December 2020, Eid holiday fixed on 24-25 May 2020 and additional leave together on the national holiday of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on October 28, 2020.
