HOSPITALITY company PT Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk. (BUVA) is taking a new move to maintain performance amid the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB).
According to Bukit Uluwatu Corporate Secretary Villa Benita Sofia said the company would not temporarily suspend the operations of the Alila Hotel in SCBD during the PSBB period. The company will make various adjustments in line with government policy.
Benita described, hotel staff are required to wear masks. The hotel also provides hand washing and hand sanitizer facilities. In addition, the company also launched a brand-new strategy of accommodating the need for self-isolation.
“Our hotel is open with services according to Government directives regarding PSBB. Hotel operations are directed to accommodate the needs of guests including self isolation,” she said.
Benita acknowledged that during the COVID-19 pandemic, hotel occupancy or hotel occupancy rates were reduced to 10% to 15%.
Previously, the company targeted the contribution of the hospitality segment to revenue this year to touch 40% while the rest came from lifestyle and leisure. As for the third quarter/2019 hotel segment contributed Rp222 billion of total revenue of IDR450 billion.
Meanwhile previously, President Director of Bukit Uluwatu Villa Franky Tjahyadikarta said this year’s capital expenditure would be in the range of IDR200 billion. According to him the funds will be obtained by BUVA through a combination of bank loans and internal company cash.
“This year’s capital expenditure allocation is still being discussed, so it cannot be mentioned [exact figure]. However, the use of funds around IDR200 billion came from banks and also from internal companies,” Benita Sofia concluded. [business.com/photo special]
