INDONESIAN Government’s call for people to postpone homecoming on Lebaran 2020 in order to prevent the spread of the corona virus has a major impact on online travel agencies, tiket.com.
According to Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder of Ticket.com Gaery Undarsa in a virtual press conference in Jakarta, Monday (13/4), said he did not yet know the exact decrease in transactions compared to last year’s homecoming. In my opinion, it would be very drastic.
“Because, most of the homecoming people are residents of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Greater Jakarta) who are currently imposing Large-Scale Social Restrictions,” he said.
He added but tiket.com claims to support the government’s call to stay at home, including delaying going home, so that the spread of the corona virus can be suppressed.
