CITILINK TEMPORARILY STOPS REGULAR FLIGHTS & CHARTER DOMESTIC ROUTES

CITILINK temporarily suspended regular flights and passenger charters for domestic routes from 24 April 2020 at 10:00 WIB to 31 May 2020.

According to the Managing Director of Citilink Juliandra in Cengkareng, said the temporary dismissal was carried out in order to support the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 25 of 2020 concerning Transportation Control During the Idul Fitri 1441 H Mudik Period in the context of Preventing the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on April 23, 2020 .

“The interim flight stop on April 24, 2020 at 10:00 WIB is based on the results of intensive coordination with local stakeholders and considers the rotation of the aircraft so that the process of the temporary flight stop can run conducive by adjusting the current conditions,” he said.

He added, the temporary stop was carried out as a form of full airline support for the Indonesian Government’s efforts in preventing the spread of COVID-19. However, Citilink is still operating to carry out logistics transportation through cargo carried out in accordance with applicable regulations.

“Citilink will continue to monitor the situation and conditions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to take anticipatory steps to prevent the spread of COVID 19. We hope that the temporary suspension of flight operations in this period will accelerate the spread of the COVID-19 virus and make the Indonesia will soon recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Juliandra.

He affirmed that Citilink prioritizes handling for affected passengers, by implementing a refund and rescheduling policy in accordance with applicable terms and conditions. Passengers who purchase tickets through a travel agent can contact the relevant travel agent.
