LION AIR, WINGS AIR, BATIK AIR APPLIES AIRLINE NEW RULES STARTING MAY 3

LION Air Group will return to serve passengers on Sunday, May 3, 2020. All Lion Air Group airlines, namely Lion Air, Wings Air, and Batik Air will implement new travel rules to prevent the spread of the corona virus (COVID-19).

According to Danang Mandala Prihantoro, Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, on Thursday (30/4) in his official press release said that according to the regulations recommended by the regulator, we carry out physical distancing or setting the distance between passengers in the aircraft cabin.

“Boeing 737-800NG, Boeing 737-900ER, Airbus 320-200CEO and Airbus 320-200NEO economy class with seats configured in 3-3, seats in the middle are not used and given an X. Passengers will sit in near windows and hallways,” he said.

He explained that while the ATR 72 type aircraft and business class with 2-2 seat layout, applying the method of crossing or zig-zag. Lion Air Group manages the facility system when each passenger reports (check-in) available at the departure airport.

This seating arrangement, Danang continued, to ensure there is a safe distance between passengers when sitting on the plane. Cabin crew and ground service personnel also assisted with technical distance management, especially when in the aircraft cabin there were still passengers who were forced to sit close together.

Danang affirmed that physical distancing also applies when passengers are in the waiting room, the process of queuing before entering the aircraft cabin via proboscis or garbarata stairs and ordinary stairs. Also passengers who are on the bus when heading and getting off the plane.

“Lion Air Group requires all flight crew, ground service personnel, and every guest to follow the health protocol. Health checks include checking body temperature, wearing masks, washing hands with soap or hand sanitizer. For flight operations, aircraft cleanliness continues to be done and improved,” Danang concluded.

The cleaning process is carried out on aircraft interior exterior cleaning (AIEC) or the inside and outside of the aircraft. Aircraft (fuselage), the wheelhouse, kitchen, cabin luggage, cabin walls, aircraft crew and passenger seats.
