LIONSGATE will reopen an amusement park in China on June 24, after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lionsgate Entertainment World, which is touted as the world’s first vertical park, is located in Novotown, Henqin Island, China, near Hong Kong and Macau.
According to Executive vice president and head of Lionsgate Global Live, Interactive and Location-Based Entertainment, Janefer Brown said the park has interesting tourist attractions based on Lionsgate films such as “The Hunger Games”, “The Twilight Saga”, and “Now You See Me “.
“The reopening date for the park coincides with China’s Dragon Boat weekend holiday celebration. Lionsgate will enforce health and safety protocols. This park also only receives visitors as much as 50% of usual,” Janefer Brown said.
She added, Lionsgate also implemented a policy of one guest, one disinfection for each VR headset, table, countertop and VR ride. So after every use, the officer will immediately disinfect. In addition, payments for tickets, food and merchandise are done digitally.
“We are pleased to welcome our employees and guests back to Lionsgate Entertainment World and we are pleased to be able to accommodate this extraordinary request for this new experience,” Janefer Brown noted.
She also explained again, the health and safety of employees and guests of our amusement park is very important. We have worked carefully and attentively in implementing appropriate steps and procedures to ensure that guests can enjoy all the Lionsgate film adventures brought through this park.
