AIRASIA Indonesia is preparing to adjust its plan to operate scheduled flights, which will be phased in on certain routes starting June 19, 2020.
According to Director of AirAsia Indonesia Veranita Yosephine Sinaga said, it would continue to monitor the development of the situation and would take the anticipatory steps needed to restart scheduled flight services.
“AirAsia is committed to serving the needs of travel or delivery of goods from the government, private sector, organizations and the community to various domestic and international destinations through special passenger and cargo charter flights in accordance with the approval of the relevant authorities,” Veranita said in a press release on Sunday (7/6).
She added that meanwhile, potential passengers affected by this change have received cancellation notices along with compensation selection information via e-mail and text message registered at the time of ticket purchase. “AirAsia Indonesia appealed, all guests who will be flying later to always pay attention and meet the health, immigration and travel restrictions set by the regional authority or government in the region/country of origin and destination,” Veranita noted.
Veranita also explained, all domestic and international travel document requirements from/to Indonesia along with safety provisions and procedures can be accessed through AirAsia’s Joint Flying Guide During the COVID-19 Precautions periodically updated.
“All guests are advised to reconfirm their departure terminal due to temporary terminal changes for domestic and international flights at several airports. Previously, AirAsia Indonesia offered a flight schedule change (rescheduling) facility until 31 December 2020 by eliminating additional costs for these changes,” she concluded.
She also added, the facility is provided following an extension of the validity of the Credit Account to two years. Meanwhile, this flexibility applies to every new ticket reservation made between 3 June to 31 October 2020. [sources/photo special]
