TANAH Lot Tourism which is located in Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali has prepared a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to enter a new normal period.
According to the Tourism Lot Operations Manager (DTW) of Tanah Lot, I Ketut Toya Adnyana, when contacted in Denpasar, said Tanah Lot tourism was not yet opened, because we were still waiting for the direction of the regional government for certainty to be opened or not. Related to the new normal SOP itself we are ready according to standards such as masks, face shields for ticketed officers, portable washbasins in some areas and hand sanitizers. So later when we can open it we are ready.
He affirmed, although Tanah Lot DTW was still closed, officers from each division were always there to keep clean and safe in the tourist area.
“The guard takes turns, each division has three people per shift in the morning and afternoon, especially for night security. At the beginning of the closing there are still people who come but are asked to turn around, but lately it has not been available because the average has been know, “he said.
He added, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, foreign tourist arrivals from China were highest with a percentage of 50% of total foreign tourists.
Meanwhile, according to data from the Head of BPS of the Province of Bali, Adi Nugroho explained that foreign tourists visiting Bali in April 2020 recorded 327 visits. This amount is the lowest data in the last four years.
“For foreign tourists who came directly to Bali Province in April 2020 there were 327 visits. Those who came through I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport were 273 visits and those who came through the seaport were 54 visits,” he said.
He concluded, while the number of foreign tourists to Bali Province in April 2020 fell by 99.79%. The top five recorded tourists visited Bali in April 2020, namely domestic tourists 16.21%, the Philippines 16.21%, China 12.23%, India 10.40%, and Russia 8.56%.
