PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) is committed to continuously increasing the use of digital applications to facilitate operations while accelerating airport digitalization.
According to AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said, one of the digital-based applications that had been implemented was Travelation. This application aims to simplify and shorten the process of checking passenger flight documents.
“Digitaliation is very important and cannot be avoided in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have started about 4 years ago digital transformation in operational and service aspects so that we are ready to bring up new digital-based innovations to deal with this pandemic,” Awaluddin said in an official broadcast on Thursday (6/25).
He said, in the future Travelation was not only used for airplane passengers, but was also developed as an access control terminal in the form of Airport ID for airport workers and airport visitors to support the principles of security, safety, service and procedure fulfillment including in the midst of a pandemic.
The application has now been used in the framework of trials at 19 airports managed by the company. Meanwhile, trials were conducted to socialize the use and hear various inputs from airplane passengers.
Meanwhile, State-Owner Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir also urged that digital utilization be increased in order to restore the country’s economy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to promote health protocols. Despite being in the midst of a pandemic, the Minister of SOEs has requested that innovation continue. [sources/photo special]
