LAMBORGHINI officially launched its latest hypercar under the name Essenza SCV12, which is available in a limited number of 40 units. This car was developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile.
The car, which is a direct derivative of cars like the Miura Jota and Diablo GTR, is equipped with the most powerful V12 aspiration engine ever developed by Lamborghini, combined with aerodynamics inspired by racing prototypes and new technical solutions designed for the best driving experience.
According to Stefano Domenicali, CEO and Chair of Automobili Lamborghini, said the Essenza SCV12 represents the purest track driving experience that our brand can offer, an engineering feat that highlights the close relationship between our car and the asphalt track.
“The Essenza SCV12 is the perfect combination of our primary passion as a super sports car manufacturer and our true passion for motorsport. The V12 engine is capable of producing more than 830 hp, with a significant increase in power from the effects of RAM at high speeds. The engine itself has a capacity of 6,500 cc,” he continued.
The exhaust pipe is designed to reduce back pressure, improve performance and emphasize the engine’s unique sound. The power is handled by the new X-trac sequential six-speed gearbox as a structural element in the chassis, combined with rear wheel drive to ensure compactness, structural continuity, and greater torsional rigidity.
The Essenza SCV12 has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 hp / kg thanks to the new generation carbon fiber monocoque chassis without internal rollcage. The Essenza SCV12 is also the first GT car to be developed to respect the safety rules of the FIA prototype.
This car is equipped with special Pirelli tires mounted on magnesium rims (front 19 inches, rear 20 inches), developed by Brembo Motorsport. The aerodynamic benefits of the GT Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing experience to ensure a higher level of efficiency and downforce than the GT3, with a value of 1,200 kg at 250 km / h.
The design of the Essenza SCV12 is the result of the creative work of the Lamborghini Centro Stile, which has designed all the racing cars produced by Lamborghini. This car has a decal that attaches sponsors including Roger Dubuis and Pirelli, and Pertamina Fastron. Pertamina Fastron itself is known to have collaborated since 2015 and Lamborghini’s official technical partner.
